2015 Ford Focus ST shown at Goodwood
The updated 2015 Ford Focus ST will be unveiled at the world famous Goodwood Festival of Speed in the United Kingdom on June 27. The Focus ST will be tested on the hill climb course, with former Top Gear stig Ben Collins showing what the new ST can do.
The new Focus ST will share many upgrades with the recently unveiled 2015 Focus, including redesigned front and rear fascias and an improved interior. Ford says that they have sold more than 140,000 Focus ST models since its introduction in 2002, and in more than 40 countries.
The video game experts at Sony Computer Entertainment are partnering with Ford to set up a first-ever “virtual versus real” race on the hill. During the first run of each day, the Focus ST will compete in real time with a Ford Focus ST in Gran Turismo 6 on the famed hill climb. Visitors will then get the chance to record their own times to see if they can beat Ben Collins.
Ford will be displaying the 2015 Ford Mustang for the first time in the U.K. as well. The 2015 Mustang will be sold in the U.K. for the first time when it arrives later this year. Ford will be competing with a 5.0 liter V8 fastback in the Supercar Class, driven by Ford Team RS vehicle dynamics specialist David Put.
