Searching for a new Ford F-150? The all-new 2015 Ford F-150 has a new, weight-saving aluminum body, new and updated engines, all-new styling and a ton of new standard features. You would expect the 2015 Ford F-150 to cost a lot more than the 2014 model, but the good news for buyers is that prices have not jumped that much, with the F-150 XL and XLT models starting at only $395 more than last year.
The bestselling F-150 XLT gets many new standard features , including a 4.2 inch LCD in the dash, a 2.3 inch display in the instrument cluster, telescoping steering wheel, two extra speakers, BoxLink adjustable tie-down anchors and a power tailgate lock. A new 3.5 liter V6 comes standard, replacing last year’s 3.7, and a new 2.7 liter EcoBoost V6 is available which gives the same power as many mid-range V8 engines.
The new Ford F-150 also has many new optional features, including new safety technology. An available 360-degree camera view shows a bird’s-eye view of the truck to help with parking in tight spaces. Inflatable safety belts are available for second row passengers, which helps distribute force across a wider area in a crash. And curve control, adaptive cruise control, a lane-keeping system, and blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert help keep everyone safe.
The luxury King Ranch and Platinum trim levels will come standard with lots of features not seen on an F-150 before. The King Ranch includes LED headlights and taillights, mirror spotlights, LED cargo lighting, two 400 watt power inverters and push button start. The Platinum edition will have multi-contour massaging front seats, heated seats in front and rear and a heated steering wheel.
